Prestige Special Projects – Misfah – Oman
It is interesting how fate works and how people meet. We bumped into this customer twice in different locations and different types of businesses. When we were capturing 360 Virtual Tour of one of the barber shops which he happened to drive far to go to, he talked to us and showed interest.
Several months later we met and his project was a challenge that we gladly accepted.
Capturing 360 imagery is not a problem for us. But the terrain made it hard, and let alone the heat!
His problem was that the customers were driving to his location and Google left them right in the middle of the road.
Google allows creators like our company to publish a “blue line”. Basically a blue line is “Google Street View” identical to what you see in other countries. But in order to do that, one must publish at least 21 spheres! For this business only 9 to 10 are possible. So we decided to put our thinking hats on and came up with idea that if someone just gets on his Business Profile on Google, they can interact with the virtual tour, which has “3d printed instructions” on how to use the spherical/panoramic images and get straight to the business without a problem.
